Hi Holly, Thank you for your question about the 39984. This unit is our Proclaim Bathtub Wall Set, which is just the walls. There is not a tub that comes with this unit. Thanks, Nick

what adhesive should i use

I purchased this proclaim one and bought the tub surround 4 pack kit that inclused adhesive and 1 silicone, so we had taken the old one off and taped and mudded the drywall then used drywall paint over the area, then put up surround about 2 days later, it looked good when it was up then the next day you would see it bubbled showing the adhevise in the s shape that you are supposed to do, that doesn't seem right so I took it back and got a new one so not sure if it was the wrong adhesive kit or the drywall paint we put on please please help tell me which glue to use so it doesn't do it again I am selling my house and I have a tub with no walls.
Asked by: mich
Hi mich, Thank you for your question about the Proclaim-Bathtub Wall Set. We do not recommend installing over painted drywall, unless the surface is sanded down a bit, but I do not think the paint is the issue. Being able to see the pattern of the adhesive sounds as though it would have to do with that. We recommend using an adhesive that is for tubs and surrounds that is construction grade, and safe for plastics and polystyrene. Thanks, Nick

I have an Alcoa home with aluminum panel walls. We removed old bathtub wall set that was glued on with Liquid Nails

We have prepped the aluminum wall panels by sanding and scraping off all of the adhesive. Questions: 1. Can we use the Aspect Easy-Up Bathtub Wall Set on aluminum wall panels? 2. What material is the Aspect Easy Up Bathtub wall set made of? 3. Is the material porous?
Asked by: PC
Hi PC, Thank you for your question about the 5-Piece Bathtub Wall Set. We recommend installing the walls up to drywall or greenboard. Our units are made of a non-porous polystyrene. Thanks, Nick

Should the sheetrock be finished behind suround? tape, mud, paint.

Asked by: stvbath
Hi Stvbath, Thank you for your question. You will want to tape and mud the drywall. Do not paint the surface that the surround will be attached to. Thanks, Dave
