I have installed this unit and when turning on the tap the water comes out of both the shower head and the spout at the same time. Is there something I did wrong?
Also I do not seem to have allot of adjustment for the temperature.
I move the gear to the left and all it get is cold water, more to the right I get hot but very little trave on the faucet.

Answer:Thank you for your question. Based on what you are describing with your Peerless Faucet model # PTT188770, it sounds like you have a condition called shower rise. This can be caused if one or more of the following conditions is not met during installation;
1) The distance between the valve and the tub spout has be between 8"-18."
2) There can only be copper or iron pipe used between the valve and the tub spout.
3) There can ony be one 90 degree angle from the valve to the tub spout.
Regarding the question about getting hotter water, it may be that your rotational limit stop needs adjusting. Included here are the instructions for doing that. The directions are on page 5.
