Water Flow Rate Poor This review is from: Peerless P85600LF-SSSD Choice Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser, Stainless . This faucet is attractive in the brushed stainless ( note: $ 118 @ Lowes). The on/ off handle moves smoothly & easily. Soap dispenser looks like stainless, but is all plastic . However, the faucet flow rate is about half of our former faucet...very low & slow. Specs indicate 1.8 gallons per minute @ 60 psi water pressure. It is not even producing that. We & Lowes contacted Peerless ( Delta), who sent a new wand, ( pull out head ).Box said "made in China "; it , too, had plastic threads & parts upon close inspection.. Same issue. There must be restrictors in the head or severe design flaws. Spray is fine, but your standard water stream, thru the aerator is very low, thus we cannot recommend. Very disappointed. July 3, 2014
Good product with good value Easy to install, took about 30 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow and clear. Quality is good, but the flat cover plate isn't exactly solid. It's not bad but it's sheet metal not cast or machined. Easy to keep clean, either sponge or wet paper towel. No problems with the pull-out, and the water flow and temperature control are both good. The only problem is with the soap pump which has stopped working after 6 months of use. I'll be reaching out to Customer Service on this. June 28, 2014
This is the worse Kitchen faucet that I have ever purchased. I am very unhappy with this faucet. The water pressure is very low and I have tried all of the troubleshooting methods suggested and still very very low pressure. I am very disappointed that I am stuck with this faucet. My previous kitchen faucet was a peerless and I had not complaint with it so that is why I went with the same brand. I my opinion this faucet is overpriced and very low performance. May 4, 2014
Product is not as expected The temperature control of the faucet is very poor. The water is either too hot or too cold. It is very difficult to adjust the faucet to the desired temperature. December 26, 2013
Execellent Kitchen Faucet. Built sturdy, fuctions perfectly, I love it! It has 3 bolts to hold it tight, not one. The pull out is easy to use. I enjoy the soap dish, can do away with the bottles sitting around in my kitchen. Perfect 10 in my opinion. I love to cook! I like my kitchen to be easy clean! Thankyou Peerless well done. Why is the water flow low?

I like everything about this faucet, except the water pressure is so low. I thought maybe my husband hadn't turned the valves all the way back on, but he double checked it and had someone else check too. The valves are all the way open. We had plenty of water pressure with our old faucet.

    Answer:
Hi bcfjla, Thank you for your question. One possible cause for the low pressure is that during a new installation some debris may get into the faucet. Please remove the aerator and turn on the faucet , you can also remove the wand from the hose and turn the water on again to flush the lines. Another factor could be that this faucet has a flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute, most older faucets generally had a flow rate of 2.2 gpm.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Is a replacement soap pump available?

I have a single handle pull out kitchen faucet and the pump will not work without a great deal of effort. The faucet has the big round head, but the pump looks like the one in this picture, straight out and cut on the angle. The new one does not need to match the, just be compatible.

The unit is probably the original in our condo so about 15 years old. I live in Pitt Meadows, BC, and need to either order it direct, or be told where I can find it in the Vancouver BC area.

Thanks for your help with this

    Answer:
Check out the Peerless site , as well as Amazon . They make & sell several styles, of soap dispensers...about $17.00 I just bought the faucet/ soap dispenser you pictured., made by Peerless ( Delta faucets ). Lowes sells them, also...the combo pack. I don,t think your faucet is that old.
