Rated 1 out of 5 by akgold from no hot water I had an old one and was remodeling and replace it with the new mode. wish I still had that old one as this new model is so safe you can no get hot water out of it even if you put it on max hot. would be fine for your kids but if you are an adult and want a hot bath you have the wrong product.

Will this let me install my trim kit?
I bought a peerless trim kit from Amazon and the instructions say to replace the current valve assembly with this one. But the instructions picture some kind of larger round housing that seems to go around this and which the escutcheon is attached to. Is that piece included with this one?
Thank you for your question, Geoffrey! The large round piece is a plaster guard, which can be used as a guide for cutting the hole in the wall and mounting the valve. Thie piece is included but can be removed before installing the trim kit in most installations. Best regards, Jon

How do I switch the hot and colds for back to back installation?
Can I switch hot and cold with out re-piping?
Hi Plumber4415, Thank you for your question. Peerless Faucet model # PTR188700-IPWS can be used in a back to back installation. You will need to flip the cartridge over to reverse the lines. Thanks. Jody

how do you remove the collar ring to replace the valve after a week of trying everything strap wrench heat etc. i give up
Hi Tom, Thank you for your question. Mineral build up is likely the cause of your issue. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the back side of the trim sleeve so that the solution can work on the threads. Allow to soak overnight if possible. The solution should help break up the mineral deposits making it easier to remove the sleeve. Thanks, Dave

ptr188700-un how to adjust rotational stop
Obviously i need to remove the handle, the eschutoon and the sleeve to have accress to the valvew assembly. How to i remove the rotational limit stop ? i've tryed to nudge it with my fingers, wuithout success, maybe you could pubnlish a video on your website to make it clear.
Hi Benji, Thank you for your question. Peerless Faucet model # PRT188700-UN does contain a rotatational limit stop that can be adjusted to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The directions are on page 5. http://www.peerlessfaucet.com/customer-support/find-repair-parts/documentation/ptr188700-un.html?document=mi&documentIndex=0#viewDocument Thanks. Jody

Hi. Is this a low flow efficient shower valve?
Thank you for your question. Peerless Faucet model # PTR188700 is not considered to be low or high efficient because the flow is based on what trim you put with the valve.

How do I change the flow ratio?
The water doesn't even get hot, it is barely warm. Is there a way that the flow rate of cold to hot can be adjusted?
Thank you for your question. Peerless Faucet model # PTR188700-UN contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The directions are on page 5. http://www.peerlessfaucet.com/customer-support/find-repair-parts/documentation/ptr188700-un.html?document=mi&documentIndex=0#viewDocument
